Who Are Our Members?

Our members are both designers and design businesses including educational bodies and industry suppliers.

The Design Institute of Australia is a professional body for designers. The core membership of the DIA is practicing designers.

The DIA also welcomes membership from individuals and businesses who associate with, trade with or service the design sector, and members from educational organisations training designers.

The DIA defines a designer as – a business professional that develops solutions to commercial needs that require the balancing of technical, commercial, human and aesthetic requirements.

The DIA welcomes professional members practising in all fields of design.
